Jump Rope Basics

The following are some tips from Excellerator to consider before starting out your jump rope training:

  • Correct rope length - when standing on the rope with your foot, the rope should at least reach your armpits
  • Skip in the morning - assists with your body's energy flow during the day ahead
  • Skip before eating - exercise will curb your appetite
  • Wear sensible clothing - avoid bulky clothing 
  • Don't jump barefoot - wear comfortable supportive training shoes to avoid injury to your legs and feet
